Being a podiatric medical practice, we at the Southdown Podiatry Clinic generally manage viral and bacterial infections on a daily basis. All of our equipment is washed in a sonic with a chemical to kill all of the debris on the instruments. It is then rinsed, dried and then placed into bags and cooked in an autoclave so that all of our instruments are clean and sterilised before being used on an patient to reduce the risk of contamination.

These guidelines are stipulated by our regulating body.

• When arriving at the Southdown Podiatry Clinic, please check in at reception, then you will be asked to sit in our reception area and adhere to the appropriate social distancing measures in place. You will be reminded to wear a face covering at all times while inside the clinic. Sanitising stations are available at specific points within the clinic. We ask that you only come to the clinic for an appointment only, appointment bookings or cancellations are required via phone, email or form submission on our website.
• Upon entering our clinic and throughout the appointment / consultation, clients are required to wear a face mask at all times.
• Please arrive for your appointment a few minutes prior and wait outside until the receptionist allows you in.
• Where possible, only one person is allowed to attend their appointment.
• All Southdown Podiatry Clinic staff will be wearing appropriate PPE to include masks, face shields, aprons and gloves.
• We have allowed additional time between appointments so as to sanitise surfaces that clients touch most often using antibacterial wipes.
• All the Southdown Podiatry Clinical staff have recieved both COVID-19 vaccination jabs.
• Lateral flow testing is in place for our clinical staff and taken at least twice weekly.
• Clients turning up to an appointment with a high temperature will be advised to return home and call 111.
• If you have symptoms of COVID-19 please do not turn up for your appointment. Please contact the clinic as soon as possible via phone, email or our contact form on the website and we will arrange a future appointment with you.
• Please use the sanitising stations available at the clinic as neccessary.
• Please try and maintain a reasonable distance of 1+ meters apart from when having your treatment and this is not practicle.
