Meet The Team

All of our staff at Southdown Podiatry Clinic are First Aid trained (Basic Life Support - BLS) with the training on AED (Automated External Defibrillator for cardiac arrest - this is located outside the Harpenden Trust building which is painted in purple).

Kelly Ashby

BSc (Honours) M.Ch.S

Kelly’s passion for podiatry came from our best friend being diagnosed with diabetes and losing his sight in one eye, through the pain and turmoil we all went through, he managed to get a kidney and pancreas transplant, which was a success.

We realized that in life there are people not seeing anyone and just want someone to listen and care for them. We decided to run our own business so we can make the decisions and make our patients happy by going above and beyond looking after people’s lower limbs.

Its an absolute passion of all our staff to get patients out of pain.

As a family run business with caring staff, we will always do what is right; not what is easy in life. We love a challenge and our work brings that to our clinic doors every day. We will always aim to deliver a great service to all walks of life.

Kelly graduated from Northampton University with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in podiatric medicine. Kelly has covered a wide area including Diabetes at Kings College Hospital, working within Leicester Sports Clinic, General NHS foot care in Bedford and Shefford.

In addition, being part of the voluntary medical staff at the London Marathon 2014.

Kelly has an interest in Diabetes, In-growing toenails, routine nail care and vascular issues.

We owe our business ethic, passion and our love for our job to our best friend, who will always be remembered.

We will continue to stay open whatever life throws at us, so please ring the clinic or pop in if you would like a chat or an appointment.
